Adobe Express includes a free Zoom background maker with templates for professional offices, branded company backgrounds, holidays and fun themes. Its standout feature is Adobe’s Firefly AI, which can generate a custom scene — a modern office, a calm library or an abstract brand backdrop — from a simple text prompt.
Key features include:
- Zoom and virtual meeting background templates
- Firefly AI to generate custom backgrounds from text
- Adobe Stock images and Adobe Fonts
- Free background removal and photo editing
- Brand kits for logos, colors and fonts on Premium
- Quick resizing for other formats
- Animations for animated designs
Firefly’s image models are trained on licensed content, which Adobe positions as commercially safer for company use.
The free plan is permanent, with 100,000+ templates and over a million stock assets. Premium, at roughly $9.99 per month in the U.S., unlocks the full template and stock libraries, brand kits and 250 monthly Firefly generative credits, with a 30-day free trial available.
Some templates and features are Premium-only, and team rollout tools are lighter than Canva’s. For custom AI-generated Zoom backgrounds, though, Adobe Express is an excellent choice.
