Zoho Invoice is full invoicing software from Zoho, and remarkably, it’s free for small businesses, freelancers and entrepreneurs. It goes well beyond a template: it stores your clients, calculates totals and taxes, tracks what’s been paid and chases late payments for you.
Key features include:
- Customizable invoice templates with your logo
- Quotes and estimates that convert to invoices
- Online payments and automatic payment reminders
- Recurring invoices for regular clients
- Time and expense tracking with projects
- A customer portal for clients to view and pay invoices
- Reports, tax tools and AI insights from Zia
Zoho Invoice runs on the web and has apps for iOS, Android, Windows and Mac, plus a Chrome extension.
The free plan does have limits: up to 2 users, 3 projects and 500 invoices per year, and invoices include “Powered by Zoho Invoice” branding. Businesses that outgrow it are pointed to Zoho Billing or Zoho Books, which are paid.
Zoho Invoice’s templates are practical rather than stylish, and the interface has more to learn than simple generators. For small businesses wanting genuinely free, full-featured invoicing, though, it’s one of the best options available.
